This article and this particular sentence completely describes my feelings about maternity leave. I took my full year, but oh did I ever love going back to work. I love my daughter, but I love work too and that is perfectly ok! Mat leave was one of the hardest years of my life. I am glad I took it. I think it was the right thing for my child, but going back to work was right for me.
