There are many companies that “pinkify” and claim that they are doing enough to get more girls and women involved in tech. Code Like A Girl is not pinkifying. We are taking the power of the word Girl back. We are giving guidance to parents about how to teach their girls how to code, not by making it girly, but by just appealing to their inner curiosity about creating very cool things. Some of those things might be stereotypically female, some may not. That doesn’t matter. What matters is we are giving them options. Not assuming they want the feminine options.
