I would have said exactly the same things you are saying now only 3 years ago. The reality is you can do other therapy, but you have to be willing to try it. I was willing to try it because I was so frustrated with how I was living, and feeling. While I couldn’t imagine gaining weight, I also could not imagine living in that much misery the rest of my life. It was too hopeless. I had no idea how I was going to get out of it, but that is where therapy came in.
Therapy was hard work. Challenging your core beliefs is hard. Nothing about this journey has been easy. I can tell you that it has been 100% worth it.
At the very least you should talk to your doctor about how you are feeling. It doesn’t hurt to have her refer you to a specialist to get assessed.
