Dan DeMeyere thanks for this fantastic summary. It was wonderful to see my job, what I care about every day, described so well. It is often hard to describe what we do since we don’t “produce” anything concrete like a software developer does. In fact, I think many people in tech companies would find it hard to articulate what their VP of engineering actually does all day except for attend meetings and look very busy.

I am going to forever use the analogy that I am not only making the train run on time but also figuring out how laying the tracks to reach our future destinations!
